The intent of these misinformed statements seems to portray an image of thinking that this relationship is somehow two teenagers of equal capacity fighting over who is the strongest. The first such revelation recorded by Smith stated that the original apostolic church was lost after a " Great Apostasy " in the early church.

In Apostle James Talmage's book, The Articles of Faith, twice he refers to justification by Faith alone as a "pernicious doctrine," and further declares: "The Sectarian Dogma of Justification by Faith Alone has exercised an influence for evil." Although early Christian church fathers wrote against the gnostic teachings, it was able to flourish until the establishment of Christianity as the official religion of the Roman Empire in the fourth century. One of the later outcomes of this movement at the turn of the twentieth century was the Latter Rain Movement, or Pentecostal Movement. Sunni Islam and Shi'a Islam represent the vast majority of Muslims and are also the best known.

It is known as the Terrestrial Kingdom. What is the consequence for either of us, it we get the nature of Jesus Christ wrong? 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time. 26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The beginnings of this group can be seen as early as the Colossian letter, where Paul warns against such philosophy in Colossians 2:8. Seventh-day Adventists are asking a different question: Why isn't the church growing much faster on these shores, which is home to just 1.1 million of the world's 16 million Adventists?
